Configure SMTP Server in Sybase Control Center

To be able to send email alerts, Sybase Control Center (SCC) need to know the SMTP server to use. To configure the SMTP server follow this steps:

 

  1. Log in SCC and select Application à Administration from the main menu.

 

  1. In the Sybase Control Center Properties windows, select the General Setting section and enter:
    1. the server name or IP address of the SMTP server,
    2. the E-mail server port number,
    3. the email sender name and domain name to be used as sender.

 

  1. Test if the E-mails are sending correctly.
